Abstract
The 4th Japan Academy of Aligner Orthodontics 2017
- Racing Team for Accelerated Aligner Treatment
- It is said that aligner orthodontic treatment is 100% dependent on the patient, but successful accelerated aligner treatments require even more elaborate and detailed understanding and cooperation from the patient. To that end, the practitioner must build a goal-oriented team with the patient through a tightly-knit relationship of open communication and support. The speaker has previously used the analogy of a racing car and driver to describe the treatment and patient, calling it the “Race Car Theory,” stressing that a successful racer is more than just a driver and machine, it is a team, which includes the engineers and mechanics as well.
This presentation will be a detailed discussion of how to build towards a more definite treatment, through proper preparation on the doctor side, as well as communication with the patient. It will update The Race Car Theory with specific details from the speakers experience about what to do before giving the patient an accelerated device, including accelerated treatment staging and attachment design and how to prevent a patient from going off track through proper communication.

- Racing car that drives by amateur - 3 Clinical Tips for Accelerated Aligner Orthodontics
- Accelerated Aligner Orthodontics (AAO) is like driving a racing car by amateur. I will discuss 3 tips for success of AAO.
Clear Road. In clincheck staging, by dividing the complex movements simple, it is possible to enhance the reliability of high-speed movement.
Secure Seatbelt. Strong seat belt to withstand gravity of fast moving is required. In aligner treatment, it will be attachment. Will discuss effective attachment on AAO.
Keep Tracking. In AAO, aligner unfit is followed by accelerated off-tracking. It is important to instruct patient to keep fitting and change timing.
Several cases will be presented with these tips.

- Accerelate Orthodontic Value in the Rise of Time Capitalism
- Valuable things for human being has been changed through historical and social situation. Nowadays, especially after smartphone has been invented, we could do so many things in a "small pocket of time". We can access internet, read a book, listen to music, do shopping etc. On the other hand, it becomes very difficult to get a "large uninterrupted time". Consequently, "time" has a very important value than ever before. Time is more than money and now is a time capitalism era. In such a days, time value is not only just "saving time value" but also "creative time value". In orthodontic treatment, we should focus effectiveness and comfortability to enhance this time value.
Aligner orthodontic treatment has several advantage when compare to conventional multi-bracket system. In addition, by combination with non-invasive accelerating device, that value can be increased more.
Two types of non-invasive accelerating device are available in the market. One is Acceledent® which uses vibration, and the other is
OrthoPulse™ which uses photobiomodulation. By using these device, patient can change aligners 2 or 3 times faster, reducing pain during
tooth movement. In this presentation, I will share the experience of some cases treated by invisalign® with Acceledent® and OrthoPulse™
that could accelerate the value of orthodontic treatment.

- Unfitness of Multi Bracket and Fitness of Aligner
一方、マルチブラケットは現在最も多く用いられ、確実な歯のコントロールができる矯正装置である。しかしながら、インビザラインにはマルチブラケットにない特徴がある。それは;
